In adhering with Vermontís simple lifestyle, I think youíll find my terms fair and uncomplicated.
With all special orders I require a 50% deposit. This deposit secures your position on my calendar and allows me to buy the materials I need or set aside the materials if I already have it.
On occasion, I ask for a second payment as the piece or pieces progresses. This is only in the event the order is very large or time-consuming. Otherwise, the final invoice will be sent when the piece enters the finishing room. The final payment is expected upon completion and prior to shipping.
Once complete, you have the following options:
You may pick up the piece yourself, in which case I am required to collect Vermont sales tax.
I do make some local deliveries within Vermont and to neighboring states. I charge a reasonable fee and must collect Vermont Sales Tax on all orders I deliver personally, except in New Hampshire.
For nationwide deliveries I use several reputable firms whose rates are generally reasonable. I solicit quotes from three to four shippers to assure you the best price. Sales tax is not collected for those deliveries made outside of Vermont by someone other than myself.
In the event youíre not able to accept your piece upon completion, arrangements can be made for short term or long term storage. Payment, however, is still due upon completion.
